MD4 Lions Youth Exchange Program
The MD4 Youth Exchange Foundation has been running the Youth Exchange program since 1962. The program provides an opportunity for kids between the ages of 16-21 to spend 5 weeks in the home of Lions Club members in the host country. California youth can spend 5 weeks abroad and youth from other countries can spend 5 weeks in California.
Currently those youth from abroad spend 2 of their weeks in host families of northern California, two weeks in southern California and one week in the Lions Camps in Wrightwood. Typically around 40 to 50 students will visit the US and 40 to 50 Californians will visit other countries.
It is a great opportunity to lean about people and countries other than your own in an effort to promote peace and international understanding.
The Calimesa Breakfast Lions Club generally hosts between 4-8 students for a two week stay during late July to early August.
